Rocksteady Records is proud to present you with this never before heard Flipp live concert recording straight from the personal collection of band front-man Brynn Arens. This raw, rambunctious concert was clandestinely recorded at the legendary Lounge Ax club in Chicago, IL in May of 1996.

When asked about the tape, Brynn Arens provided further detail: “As I recall, this tape was handed to me by the soundman as we were heading out of the club after the show. Apparently he had caught someone in the crowd taping the show and he had actually gone and confiscated the tape from the guy after our set. I like to think of it as "Flipp Hits The Fans!”

This exclusive live audience recording shows Flipp briskly moving through a blistering 10 song set shortly after wrapping up the Seattle, WA recording sessions for what was intended to be the debut record. The show features a rare, full band performance of "Another Boring Day" as well as the unreleased classic "Bubble Gum Machine."

I knew Bob before he was 'Slim'. Then lost touch. Always followed him musically from Buzz Barker and the Atomic Bums to his solo work. I was never much into listening to live music at First Ave or bars so I didn't really get to watch him play and sing. I did see him open for Roseanne Cash once. Take care Bob! clayb
