The Minneapolis-based band Obsession garnered a huge regional following in the early - mid 1980s. They were the very first group to win a Minnesota Music Award for Best Heavy Metal Band. Dedicated fans would fill venues across the Midwest to capacity to catch a glimpse of the huge stage productions featuring the killer guitar duo featuring Jeff Loven and Brynn Arens, along with hard grooving bassist Greg Eidem, power drummer Todd Mac, and metal screamer virtuoso Neal Sundet.

In celebration of the band's August 10th 2018 One Night Only Reunion show in St. Paul, rocksteadyrecords has gone way back into furthest reaches of The Archives, unearthing an absolute gem of a live Soundcheck audio recording from 1983. We have transferred it direct with no edits from the original source tape and pressed it up as a LIMITED EDITION 9 track Obsession CD - the first ever "official" CD release from the band!
